Inviting, modernist, brass door, Mezuzah with a delightfully “groovy” incised font. The piece was made in 1969 by.Terra Sancta of Israel. The original scroll, as often is the case, is missing. There are numerous sources, even Amazon, to purchase a replacement scroll inexpensively. Scrolls are either printed or hand written, usually on rolled parchment paper. The handwritten scrolls, known as a “Kosher Scrolls” are also readily available, and are preferred by those who practice Orthodox Judaism. These are written by scribes who also hand write other sacred religious articles, like the Torah. Most people purchase mezuzahs that come with beautifully, printed blessing’s upon parchment paper. I’d recommend a 3” long scroll with this menorah, which is 4.5”long, Place the scroll inside the indented “chamber”, (it is designed without a back door), and screw it into the door frame with 2 very tiny screws. similar to what a optometrist or jeweler would use The door jam holds the scroll inside place The menorah is affixed to the door frame on the angle shown in the first photograph The mezuzah is like door jewelry. It is a wonderful, ways to bless a modernist home It is also a very special gift to welcome neighbors or celebrate the acquisition of a new home or apartment In very good condition
