Majestic and iconic, Curtis Jere, brutalist, torch-cut, brass, double hemisphere, wall sculpture of the world The continents, mounted upon a convex grid, are detailed with abstract raised elevations, which are highlighted with verdigris paint and a varied palette of golden brass patinas The spheres can be displayed, in a horizontal line, or hung in a vertical line or at different heights, as depicted in the photos The piece is signed and dated Jere 1983 on one of the spokes of the background grid Measurements (per sphere) 27.5” x 6” Deep Accounting for a spacial separation, the entire sculpture would measure approximately 60-62” wide. (5ft plus) In really very nice vintage condition.
