Stanley & Boodge, Hockney's dogs, are a frequent and loving subject matter for the artist. He has produced a variety of art pieces, from n various mediums, of his two adored Dachshunds, both in in color paintings and black and white sketches. This piece is a charming, modern and minimalist, monochrome image of Stanley and Boodge, lazing in a comfy armchair. This exhibition lithograph was produced to go along with David Hockney's New Drawings show held in the UK in 1994.
