Rare, iconic, 1968 Exhibition Poster, by internationally renown, graphic artist, Milton Glaser (1929-2020), entitled "Big Nudes". Glaser designed this abstract, pop art, poster for The Visual Arts Gallery in New York. The poster promoted an exhibition of oversized photographs of nude women by Helmut Newton, challenging traditional beauty standards. Glaser is probably best known for his graphic art logo, "l heart New York" which seemed to festoon every shopping bag and bumper sticker for the last 60 years. Known for his creative, graphic arts whimsy, his intention was to illustrate a nude figure so large it could not be contained within the poster's space, extending into the area beyond, creating a virtual frame within the space mage Measurements approximately 36" W x 24" H Printed on heavy duty rag-like paper. In very nice condition. The poster was never framed and stored flat
