Exceptional, Mario de Ferrante, mid century, thickly applied impasto oil painting of a dramatic floral still life The painting is adorned with a custom made, hand-crafted, antique, hand-pointed, elaborate, wooden, painted frame with hand applied plaster elements on each corner and the center of every side The owner told me, this original frame cost over $500 fifty years ago The palette knife applied paint is so thick and t gives the painting a shadowed 3D effect. The artist, Ferrante, was a very prolific artist in the 60s and 70s, often creating very focal large formate works The painting measures: 50” L X 40” H x 2.75” Deep This 75 year old painting is in awesome vntage condition. There are some minor wear issues on the frame, missing pencil point dots of paint are on the applied softer plaster sections The scale of the piece, overshadows these smaller imperfections, many of which can be easily touch up Sensational, focal and vivid work of art

Wear consistent with age and use. The frame shows some minor wear but is structurally sound There are small areas of missing paint and minor chipping the the y ornamental plaster on the corners & sides of frame See photos.
